Why Birth Time Matters

The Rising sign and the houses depend on the exact time and place of birth, because they are determined by which degree of the zodiac was ascending over the eastern horizon at that moment. The Moon moves roughly one degree every two hours, so an unknown birth time can occasionally leave the Moon sign ambiguous — we will tell you when that happens. Without a birth time, we never fabricate a Rising sign or houses; instead, we show everything that can be calculated accurately and explain what is missing.
