Upright Meaning
Represents loss, grief, regret, and focusing on what is gone rather than what remains. It suggests dwelling on past disappointments and needing to acknowledge the blessings still present.
Reversed Meaning
The gaze lifts from the spilled cups. The grief is still real but it is no longer the whole room, and the two cups standing behind you become visible again. This is not moving on, and it does not require you to be grateful. It is letting the loss occupy its actual size instead of filling everything.
Deeper Exploration
List two things that remain intact in your life right now. You do not have to feel grateful for them, and they do not have to compete with what you lost. Just let them exist alongside the grief, in the same frame, without making one cancel out the other.
