Upright Meaning
Represents deception, trickery, evasion, and strategic thinking. It suggests acting cunningly, taking shortcuts, or needing to be wary of dishonest motives, either your own or others’.
Reversed Meaning
The deception surfaces. Either you have been caught in a corner you cut hoping no one would notice, or you finally see that someone has been less than honest with you. The trick depends on no one looking, and now someone is, which changes what is possible for everyone involved.
Deeper Exploration
If you have been avoiding full honesty with someone, the avoidance is costing more than the truth would. If you have been deceived, the question is not why they did it. The question is why you could not afford to see it, and what in you needed the pretense to stay intact.
